Our promise
Local Flooring Sydney warrants the workmanship of every flooring installation we complete for a period of ten (10) years from the date of practical completion. If our workmanship fails during this period, we will return to your property and rectify the issue at our cost.
What is covered
- Lifting, peaking or hollow boards caused by installation method
- Failure of glue, click systems or fasteners due to install error
- Visible seam failure, gapping or buckling beyond manufacturer tolerance
- Carpet seams that open, ripple or fail due to incorrect stretch / seam tape
- Sanding & polish marks, swirls or finish failure due to application error
- Scotia, beading, transition strips installed incorrectly
What is NOT covered
- Manufacturer product faults (covered by separate manufacturer warranty)
- Damage from flooding, plumbing leaks, fire, pests or natural disasters
- Damage from heavy furniture without protective pads
- Damage from pet claws, sharp heels, dragged appliances
- Subfloor movement caused by structural settlement of the building
- Failure caused by humidity outside manufacturer recommended range (35–65% RH)
- Wear and tear, surface scratches, fading or normal aging
- Floors that have been altered, repaired or refinished by a third party
Manufacturer product warranty
Materials carry their own manufacturer warranty — typically 25 years for engineered timber, 15–25 years for premium carpet, and lifetime for hybrid SPC vinyl. We will manage manufacturer warranty claims on your behalf at no charge.
How to make a claim
- Email hello@localflooringsydney.com.au with your invoice number, photos and a brief description.
- We respond within 2 business days to arrange a free site inspection.
- If covered, rectification work is scheduled within 21 days.
Transferable warranty
This warranty stays with the property and transfers to subsequent owners with proof of original invoice.
Australian Consumer Law
Our warranty is in addition to, and does not limit, your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded.
